In Straight Lines Only the only visible elements are straight lines. The lines are "styled" in various ways, affecting attributes such as color, orientation, width, and transparency. The only curves are emergent or lie along hidden objects which anchor the endpoints for the lines. The styling of the lines typically involves correlations of some kind with other aspects of the image.

In Sequences the images are nearly all based on real world data. I am interested in the artistic display of large data sets as a way to connect the arts and sciences. Whether looking at things like the digits of pi or DNA sequences, I enjoy searching for beautiful ways to draw with numbers. And unlike in science, here I'm free to do whatever I want with the data.

In Random Temples we have a bit of a grab bag, although most of the images have some randomization as part of the process leading to the image. This is typically some kind of "controlled randomness," especially in the Chaotic Light images, which are based on underlying fractal objects that are not part of the visible image but shape it nonetheless. We've all seen enough images of pure fractals I think.
